Utah Jazz forward Carlos Boozer will be making points with elementary school children this season. The American Lung Association, along with the Utah Jazz and Stores Online, is holding a fundraiser at Utah elementary schools to raise money for their Open Airways program. Boozer will visit the winning school on March 24, 2008.

Open Airways is a program designed to help students manage their asthma. Students are encouraged to raise as much money as they can to help support this program. Not only will prizes be awarded to the school that raises the most money, but the student and classrooms with the most money will receive prizes as well. The student who raises the most money in one month will receive lower-bowl tickets to the San Antonio Spurs vs. Jazz game on April 4, 2008. The teacher of the class who raises the most money will sit on the Jazz bench as the honorary coach and will be formally recognized at the game.

Students have one month to raise money for Open Airways, at which time the money will be tallied and a winners announced. Get started and strive for Jazz number 5, Boozer, and $5,000 for Open Airways.
