Asthma

Got Asthma? We Can Help!

BREATHE EASIER
Do you have wheezing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath? Your asthma could be out of control. Although there is no cure for asthma, people with asthma can lead normal lives by managing their disease. The most effective management methods include taking the right medication the right way, controlling environmental triggers, and consistent follow-up with a doctor.

Salt Lake County Aging Services, The Healthy Aging Program, has a new class for older adults with asthma. The Breathe Easier class will teach class participants about different asthma management techniques. In addition, every class member will take home a Breathe Easier cleaning kit which will include several non-toxic cleaning agents.

You won’t want to miss this class. If you have asthma, take control! Asthma can be serious. Please sign-up for this class by contacting the Healthy Aging Program at 272-2772.

"We are passionate about helping the ALA with their fight against ASTHMA; especially children with asthma. We know first hand that asthma can kill and that everyone must learn how serious and debilitating this disease can be. We are tired of hearing, "Oh you have asthma" like it's nothing more than a cold with a simple remedy of an inhaler!"
